With the remedial work on the aberrant pipe behind us, work continues on site both internally and externally. The complex first fix mechanical and electrical work is almost complete, as is the medical gas installation.
There is a spaghetti of duct work now in place within the ceiling voids to supply air conditioning and fresh, clean and filtered air flows to every area of the clinic. All the rooms are now formed and plaster boarded.
This month, painting and decorating will continue and the suspended ceilings will be fixed in place. It will be great to see some paint on the walls very soon. Furniture is due to arrive in a few weeks.
The continued wet weather is not being kind to the ground team who are undertaking the external ground works. However, the attenuation tank has been formed underground. This collects and stores rainwater run off and releases it gradually into the sewers to avoid overwhelming the system in the event of flash flooding.
Landscaping has started and the car park is to be set out this week with kerbing to follow shortly after.
